East End Library and Community Hub is located on the busy Shields Road and has ground-floor level access with automatic doors.  We have a hearing loop to assist communication with hearing-impaired people, free WiFi and a public toilet.

At East End Library and Community Hub, we have:

Very good local bus routes in both directions. 
- Byker Metro is just a 4-minute walk away. 

- Cycle racks are close by on Flora Street.

- Limited free parking is available on local streets to the side and rear of the building, but not on Shields Road itself.  Check signage for the length of time you can park.
   
- Electric car charging points can be found on the Charge Your Car website. 

East End Library and Community Hub

Fenham Library houses an impressive array of meeting rooms, interview pods, and a large community space.

The library also contains cafe facilities, which are great for before, after, or during your hire. 

For arriving at Fenham Library, guests are encouraged to use public transport, with a bus stop located just outside the main entrance. There is on-street parking if necessary as well.

Fenham Library

Gosforth Library is in the same building as Newcastle City Learning's Learning Centre.  Access to the library is on the ground floor with level access and automatic doors.  There is a freephone and PCs to self-serve other council services. We have a hearing loop to assist communication with hearing-impaired people, free Wi-Fi access, public toilets with baby changing facilities.

At Gosforth Library we have the following:

Regent Centre travel interchange, is just a 4-minute walk away, for bus and Metro travel in all directions.  
Cycle racks are outside the front door of the Library.
Limited parking is available behind the library in a pay-and-display car park.  Check the car park's tariff board for the cost and length of time you can park. 

Gosforth Library

Access to High Heaton Library is on ground floor with level access and automatic doors. We have a freephone and public computers where you can self-serve other council services. We have free Wi-Fi access, two public toilets (one with disabled access) and a hot drinks vending machine.

At High Heaton Library we have:

Nearby bus stops on Newton Road for travelling in both directions.
Cycle racks outside of the library.
Limited parking is available on local streets near the building. Check the signage for the length of time you can park.
Designated disabled parking bays directly outside the building for use by Blue Badge holders. 

High Heaton Library

Kenton Library is in the Kenton Centre – the same building as NCC's Housing Office and Kenton Medical Centre.  Access is via a front and rear entrance on the ground floor.  There are steps and a ramp at both entrances enabling level access and automatic doors.  We have a hearing loop to assist communication with hearing-impaired people. There are public toilets and baby-changing facilities.

At Kenton Library we have:

Bus stops on both Hillsview Avenue and Halewood Avenue, please check which one you need for your direction of travel and bus route (bus numbers 7, 8, 10, 11 and 32).
The nearest Metro station is Fawdon, almost one mile away or an 18 minute walk. 
Cycle racks outside the library building on Hillsview Avenue.
Limited free parking is available nearby in the large car park to rear of the library next to Kenton Shops, accessed from Halewood Avenue.  

Kenton Library

Newburn Library is located in an elevated position and access is via outdoor steps or ramped access. The entrance to this library is on the ground floor with automatic doors, and then stairs or a platform lift to the level of the library.  We have free WiFi access, public toilets, accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities.

At Newburn Library we have the following:

Nearby bus stops on the High Street for travelling in both directions.
Limited free on-street parking is available.   

Please note: the library is closed from 1pm-1.30pm on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Newburn Library

City Library is located at the heart of the city centre on the corner of John Dobson Street and New Bridge Street West. 

The main entrance, known as the 'blue box', has level access and automatic doors leading to Level 1. 

City Library has six floors with both stair and lift access. A second entrance from Princess Square again has level access and automatic doors leading to Level 2.

Being in the city centre, we have:

- Excellent local bus links.
- Monument Metro station is just a three-minute walk away.
- Cycle racks outside the library on John Dobson Street, New - - Bridge Street West and Princess Square. 
- Limited on-street parking is available on Lisle Street next to the City Library or parking in Saville Place Car Park (entry from Durant Road). Check signage for the tariff and length of time you can park.

Newcastle City Library

West End Library and Community Hub are proud to offer their facilities for community hire.

With the versatile Community Room, which can be split into two spaces and features a kitchenette space, as well as a variety of Interview Rooms, this space offers great facilities for all day workshops, meetings, interviews, tuition and more. 

Limited free parking is available on site, and the library itself has accessible free wi-fi and paid printing services.
